I create mostly western clay art using a special process. I use clay and various stains, paints, and ink. When it is finished it looks like leather. I use recycled base pieces (frames, wood, etc). Every piece is a ONE OF A KIND! Take a look at my website: www.definitelycreative.org I also make several other crafted items including handmade greeting cards, Christmas ornaments, rock art, and 3 different types of cookies. This year I have added gnomes, painted rocks, covered journals, and stacked book decor.

You can also find my Clay art in Gadzooks located in Gardnerville, NV and the NAA Gallery in Carson City NV, Circle S Western Market in Gardnerville and Prism Gallery in Minden

I enjoy working with clay, finding this wonderful medium both relaxing and invigorating.  I am inspired by the infinite creative possibilities, through both hand-building and throwing on the wheel.  My pottery creations range from small Angel ornaments with positive affirmations to whimsical bowls to dragon sculptures, from hanging art pieces that feature horses, dandelions, lotus flowers and much more, to fanciful vases and dipping bowls.  I like to play with different firing and decorating techniques, using an electric kiln, pit-firing, and raku firing.

I am grateful for both the inspirations and opportunities to create these unique pottery pieces, and for those that take pleasure in providing them a new home – thank you!

Hello. For the past 18 years I have been fascinated with artist lampwork. Tiny glass beads, each individually fired, make unique and lovely jewelry pieces. I use them in making bracelets, watches, earrings, necklaces, pins and beaded bookmarks. I also make small one-of-a-kind gift cards; and enjoy hand-stitching onesies, burp cloths and baby bibs to match knitted receiving blankets. This year I will be making little girls' matching sets of scarves, mittens, hair embellishments, hats and bracelets.

If we don't currently make it, we will let you know if it is possible for us to do. I also do other woodwork besides turned projects, so if you need something special for somebody, please contact me.

Emily Bradburn

This is my first year with A Touch of Class. I have done many other craft shows but none like this one. I like to make things unexpected out of everyday items.  My jackets are recycled sweatshirts with added scrap material that will frey over time.  For my wind chimes I gather old salt and pepper shakers and hang them from old glass floral frogs.  The different sized cheese grater owls I make are naturally rusted.  My horse head wreaths are made from re-purposed garland and old wreaths. They are battery lighted and are suitable for indoors or outdoors.

I’m Suzy, and this is my first year with Touch of Class.  I am so excited! My infatuation is all things beady, with a special penchant for bead woven jewelry – earings, brooches, bracelets, necklaces.  Each piece is created one bead at a time. Brooches and necklaces may also feature paper collage under glass, small images accented with glitter or gears and sometimes both!

As a cop for over thirty years, I have had many hobbies, but none more relaxing or satisfying than when I discovered sculpting wood to release its inner beauty and function. It has become, as all good hobbies do, a “lost in time” experience whenever my various tools are whirring, and sawdust is flying.

I  began with cutting “Crooked Crosses” which depicts each person’s imperfections and originalities (just as God created us) and added candle holders, cutting boards, seasonal decorations, lamps, and tables.

Although, my work area is currently my garage, I plan on having a workshop when I retire – hopefully a couple of years and I can devote more time to creating and sharing the beauty of wood.

I began my love with clay in 1976. My first studies began in Cordova and continued after we moved to Anchorage. Whimsy with function is my middle name. I use a combination of slab, wheel-thrown and extruded techniques. I fire in a variety of ways using high fired gas reduction, soda or wood fired with reduction, electric oxidation, and low fired raku pieces. All pieces, except raku, are microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. You can also find my pottery at Heartstrings (Minden), Reno Co-op, Brewery Arts Artisans Store (Carson City), and Buy Nevada First (Reno & Sparks).

If they make you smile while using them, they have succeeded in their purpose.  Enjoy. www.copperkilnpottery.com  etsy.com/copperkilnpottery

As a first-time participant in the show, I am very excited to present my artwork.  As a China and Porcelain painter, and as an oil painter, my passion is to express the beauty of nature across a wide variety of subjects in my work.  It is important to me that the piece is not only inspiring to view, but that a person would be able to actually use it in daily life appeals to my sense of function, as well as form.  I believe that a home should be enhanced with something beautiful and artful.   So, I will be offering plates, teapots, platters, vases, planters, trivets, Christmas tree ornaments, all hand painted and kiln-fired.  Small accent side tables with hand painted inset tile will also be available.  To view the various subject matter in my work, take a look at my Facebook page “Artful Beautiful Oils on Canvas and Porcelain and Ceramic”.
